Men's universal trail shoes Salming Trail 2 are new for the autumn season 2023. The completely redesigned upper construction continues to stand on the comfortable and stable Recoil cushioning foam and especially the unique Vibram MegaGrip sole.

The Salming Trail 2 are another continuation of the successful concept, which stands and falls above all with the flawless premium Vibram MegaGrip sole, which is once again ready to give you great grip even where you wouldn't expect it. Compared to the previous generation, the Trail 2 received a completely new upper, which significantly reduced the weight and overall increased the already optimal mix of comfort and functionality. The focus of this model is still the universal trail shoe that you don't have to be afraid to take both for a long run in the mountains and for a shorter run through the autumn sleet in the "urban jungle".

The upper of the latest generation of trails combines two perfectly complementary layers that form a compact, and above all, light unit. The strong and excellently breathable knit that forms the base layer is covered by a second layer of several polyurethane panels that are heat-welded to the first layer, which minimizes the risk of chafing from the stitched joints. This second outer layer primarily has a protective and stabilizing function.

The most important part of the Trail 2 model remains the Vibram sole, which works well with the cushioning layer made of premium Recoil™ foam. The Vibram MegaGrip sole itself has a not very high pattern, which records the versatility of using the shoes, and above all, a unique grip that will hold you even in really slippery conditions. The Recoil™ cushioning layer is then primarily responsible for your comfort. Although it is sufficiently cushioned even for really long runs, you don't have to worry that it is not ideally stable and does not offer an active rebound. In the heel area, the midsole is further enriched with a special SoftFOAM insert, which you will appreciate especially when running.

Versatility is the key
The Salming Trail 2 model belongs to the so-called universal trail shoes. Thanks to the height of the sample and the unique grip of the Vibram Megagrip sole, it will hold you in any weather conditions in the field, but at the same time you will not feel uncomfortable in them even when running over a firmer natural or even asphalt surface.

For beginners and advanced
The Trail 2 model will be appreciated by both beginners and advanced runners. While the less experienced will welcome the friendly height of the cushioning and the overall comfort of the shoe, the more advanced will fully enjoy the great grip of the Vibram Megagrip sole and the excellent energy return offered by the Recoil™ cushioning compound.

For long training sessions, comfortable shorter off-road runs, but also mountain challenges
Due to its versatility, Trail 2 really offers many variants of its use. You will appreciate their variability both during long training sessions, during which different types of surfaces alternate, as well as during shorter off-road runs, when comfort will be more important to you than speed. However, it will also serve you convincingly during ultra-long mountain races.
